Since the beginning of MCF, there have been several key moments where God has asked us to step out in faith into something new:

  • In 1981, a few families started meeting as a new house church

  • In 2000, the Sandel Centre was opened at the heart of the Mountsandel neighbourhood

  • In 2009, we employed John-Mark Mullan as our first member of staff (focused on teaching and discipleship)

  • In 2016, we employed Ryan Galway as our Youth and Family Worker

Now we believe it is time for a new step of faith. As our church continues to flourish and grow, we have been seeking God’s guidance for our future direction. One of the things we have sensed clearly is that this is a time for us to look outwards, and to take new steps in mission both in Mountsandel and in other places.

With this in mind, we believe this is the right time to recruit a new member of staff, to help us move forward together in some “new adventures in mission.”

We know this may feel like a strange time to be recruiting, when so much of the world is on “pause” and the future is so uncertain. But we believe God has guided us in this direction, and we also believe this is a moment of great possibility - when new forms of mission and church will emerge, and when many people are more open to God and the gospel. We want to be ready to seek God and his kingdom together, in whatever kind of world emerges after coronavirus.

We believe there is someone out there who will be a great fit for this role - please share this information with anyone you know who might be interested!
